Colleen Huntley Overton, 60, was born on January 30, 1961, to David Nelson Huntley and Kathleen Iwaniec in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than 20 years. Colleen departed this life, Friday, July 23, 2021.

Colleen was a graduate of Long Beach High School- Class of 1979. She was reared in the Baptist faith and lived her life in that very light. Colleen was simply a vibrant, beautiful, energetic, and upbeat person. She was very classy and always adorned herself in that fashion. Colleen enjoyed crafting and was a diehard New Orleans Saints fan. She enjoyed Mardi Gras and as Southern culture would have it, she never missed an opportunity to have a good time with family and friends. Colleen's family is saddened by her departure, but are comforted in knowing that she has now joined the faithfully departed.

She his preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Iwaniec Straub; and her nephew, Mark Edward Ervin, Jr.

Colleen is survived by her loving and devoted life partner, Amos Hill- Long Beach, Mississippi; her father, David Nelson Huntley (Wynona) ; six sisters, Martha Ervin (Mark)- Long Beach, Mississippi; Dawn Nelson- Gulfport, Mississippi; Jessica Sanders- Holland, Michigan; Denise Nafe (John)- Grand Rapids, Michigan, LaVonne Johnson- Wyoming, Michigan, Dawn Edwards (James)- Wayland, Michigan; two brothers, Jake Johnson (Alisha)- Saranac, Michigan, Larry Johnson (Janet)- Wayland, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family members, and friends.
