Obituary

Christopher Eric Robinson, 50, was born September 7, 1970, in Gulfport, Mississippi to Gloria Hawthorne and George W. Robinson. He departed this life, at his home, in the comfort of Christ, Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Chris, as he was commonly acknowledged, was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Coast. He was reared in the light of the Catholic faith. He attended Bay Junior High and then matriculated to Bay St. Louis High School where he graduate. Chris gained employment with Harrah's Gulf Coast Hotel & Casino in Biloxi. It is important to note that Harrah's was not simply a place of employment for Chris, it was an extension of his family.

Chris was an honorable man, not because of any heroic act performed, but because he was honest, true to himself and true to others. He never claimed to be perfect or without fault. He was just a good man who always looked for ways to help someone and put a smile on people's faces. While we bear the burden of immense sadness that Chris is no longer with us, we choose to find happiness in the gifts we had in him. We will forever consider ourselves blessed by the lessons of love gained from Chris. There are truly no words to explain how much he will be missed. Our prayer is that he find sweet rest in the arms of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Robinson; and a sister, Shantel Dedeaux Hawkins.

Chris leaves to cherish his life and memories his beautiful and devoted spouse; Mrs. Trachere Robinson; his mother, Gloria Hawthorn; two sons, Christopher Robinson- Bay St. Louis, MS, Donte Hawthorne- Spanish Fort, AL; five brothers, Gregory Peters- Jackson, MS, Robert Brown- Gulfport, MS, Paul Gates, Jr.- Memphis, TN, Joshua Gates and Jonathan Gates- both of Gulfport, MS; a sister, Paula (Gary) Gray- Biloxi, MS.
