Obituary

Charlie Tacori Fairley was born on December 9, 2007, in Gulfport, Mississippi to Toocara Ellis and Charlie Fairley. He departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Known affectionately as "CJ" by his family and friends, he was on track to graduate with the Harrison Central High School Class of 2026. CJ was also an active member of the Harrison Central High School basketball team, where his talent and passion for the game stood out.

Outside of school, CJ was a key player on the Kings of the Coast (KOTC) AAU basketball team. His dedication, both on and off the court, marked him as a rising star with a bright future ahead.

CJ was a devoted member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast Forest Heights Center, where he was loved by both children and staff. His compassion and leadership earned him the 2024 Youth of the Year title. This past summer, he represented his Club in Washington, DC, advocating for teen issues and demonstrating his dedication to his community.

Loved by everyone who knew him, CJ's personality, charm, and kindness left a lasting impact on you.

Charlie was a caring brother, a loyal nephew, cousin, and friend. His love for his family was unmatched, always going above and beyond for those he cared about. He shared a special bond with his mother and was a devoted son. In his final moments, he looked into his mother's eyes and said, "I love you, Mama," a true testament to his love.
