Caroline Anne
Bailey
Feb 14, 1964 — Dec 27, 2019
Pass Christian
Caroline Ann Bailey was born February 14, 1964 to the late Alfonso Bailey, Sr. and Gennie Jordan in Pass Christian, MS. MS. Caroline was a beautiful, funny and vivacious child. She soon discovered she had inherited her family's gift of song. She had a beautiful soprano voice that would later be developed in church and school. Caroline began her early childhood education in the Pass Christian School District where she would eventually become a member of the Pass Christian High School choir beginning in the 9th grade and lasting through the 12th grade. Caroline formed many friendships in school by showcasing her talents in dance, singing and home economics. She became a noted cook within her family and was famous for her pecan candy, a recipe she prided herself on and has only shared with her daughter Trenette. She participated in her high school beauty pageant in 1980 and was voted most talented in 1982. Caroline developed a love for home economics which was a passion that lasted throughout her life.
Caroline possessed such a friendly and outgoing personality. This personality trait and her hard work would lead her into sales and retail management. Caroline worked as a manager of Circle K Convenient Stores and later transitioned her career to the American Beauty College where she was able to showcase her talent and love for makeup, hair and beauty. Later in life, Caroline returned to school at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as a Culinary Arts major where she explored and exhibited her passion for food. Caroline was a lady of many gifts and talent and we, her family, consider ourselves to be so blessed to have shared time and space with such a bright, beautiful and talented soul.
Caroline is preceded in death by her father, Alfonso Bailey, Sr.; paternal grandparents, J.C. Bailey and Zuellen Bailey; maternal grandparents, James Stewart, Sr. and Daisy Stewart; two brothers, Alfonso Bailey, Jr., Michael Bailey; one niece, Tasha Parham; one nephew, Alfonso Bailey, III.
Caroline's legacy and life will be forever be cherished in the lives of her family, her mother, Gennie (Louis) Jordan (Gulfport, MS); her loving daughter, Trenette Bailey (Sacramento, CA); her loving son, Thomas Bailey (Colorado Springs, CA); three sisters, Catherine Bailey (Fort Walton, FL), Annette Dedeaux (Pass Christian, MS), Tomeka (Royal) Haynes (Pass Christian, MS); three brothers, Leon (Trishea) Stewart (Gulfport, MS), Robert (Sherry) Bailey (Chesapeake, VA), Oscar Bailey (Pass Christian, MS); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will never forget her spirit and her song.
