Candace Dimetria Whittle was born on March 27, 1993, to the late Tammy Tonika Walker and Louis Whittle, Jr., in Gulfport, Mississippi. She departed this life on February 22, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Tammy Walker; her long-term friend Namon Bankston; her great-grandfathers, Louis Whittle, Sr. and Luther Walker Sr. (Gulfport, MS0; her great-grandmothers Rosie L. Roper, Pearlie Lanton (Saucier, MS) and Rose Barnes (Ackerman, MS).
Candace was a graduate of Gulfport School District. She then enrolled in Virginia College where she studied to become a Cosmetologist. Not long after completing her course, she became disable with Multiple Sclerosis, which progressed later on. In the early stages, she didn't let that stop her. She was active and faithful in serving and praising God. The thing she enjoyed the most was being a mother to her son and baby Zechariah; showing him much love. She enjoyed shopping and spending all her money as soon as she got it.
Candace was witty and fun-loving, always saying crazy jokes to keep the family laughing. She had a big, beautiful smile and loved mingling with family and friends.
Candace leaves to cherish her memories, her son Zechariah Whittle; her brother Dajuan Walker Sr. (Angela); her little sister, Sarahiah Decariel Shittle; her father, Louis Whittle, Jr. (Joan); her stepmother, Janie Whittle (LCA0 ; her grandmothers, Rose Simmons (Saucier) and Georgia Walker (Gulfport); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends in Mississippi, California, Louisiana, Missouri, Detroit and Alabama.
