Beverly Grace Walker Lott of Gulfport, Mississippi died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 26, 2023. She was 67 years old.

Beverly was born on August 19, 1955, in Gulfport, Mississippi to Annie and Walter Walker. She received her education in her hometown, attending the historic 33rd Avenue High School as well as Gulfport High School, where she graduated. She furthered her education at Jefferson Davis Community College, now Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, majoring in business studies. She met Jimmie Martin and from that union, Christopher was born. Later in life, she met and married Gene Lott, which resulted in the birth of Corey.

Over the years, she worked at the Phillips Milk of Magnesia plant, Regina Vacuum plant, U.S. Post Office in Gulfport, DuPont, Martin Groceries, and Triton. From each workplace, she garnered a reputation for her big personality, caring spirit, and willingness to help others. Each job left a trail of lifelong friends and memories.

In addition to her career, Beverly was an active and dedicated member of Washington Chapel CME, where she sang in the choir and helped wherever she was needed. She also enjoyed spending time and talking with her beloved grandchildren, who gave her unmeasurable joy.

Beverly will forever be remembered for her humor, compassion, loyalty, hard work and no-nonsense attitude that drew others to her.

She is survived by her children, Christopher Walker (Felecia M. Walker) of Hattiesburg, MS and Corey Lott of Gulfport, MS; stepmother, Deborah Walker of Gulfport, MS; three siblings, Walter Walker III (Dominica Walker) of Pass Christian, MS; Wendell Walker (Quansuela Walker) of Canton, OH; and Gaye Walker Hampton (Mannie Hampton) of Century, FL; her five grandchildren, Jasmine Walker and Jaden Walker, both of D'Iberville, MS; Aaron Walker and Avery Walker, both of Hattiesburg, MS; and Kori Lott of Gulfport, MS; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene A. Lott of Gulfport, MS; her mother, Annie L. Walker of Gulfport, MS; her father, Walter Walker Jr. of Gulfport, MS; her sister, Cheryl Walker Lloyd of Gulfport, MS; and her nephew, Simeon Walker of Gulfport, MS.
