"In Our Hearts Forever"

Berney La'Shaun Dunn, passed away on September 9, 2022 after a long illness. Berney's parents, Constance and James Thomas, welcomed their bundle of joy on February 11, 1980.  Berney was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, Mississippi and up until his illness, he was employed by Walmart for over 10 years.

Berney was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mrs. Cleopatra Dunn (Mr. Johnnie Cole) and Mrs. Fannie and Mr. Clifton Thomas; two aunts, Delores Thomas Pugh and Desiree Dunn; and three uncles, Winston Dunn, Harvey Dunn and Myron Thomas.

He is survived by his loving and supportive parents; sons Zrick Dunn and Micheal Dunn; siblings Charnyse Dunn Grimes (Terrance), Christa Dunn Johnson (Travis), Carmen Anthony Dunn, Charla Thomas, and Eric Thomas (Shalae);  two young men who held a special place in his heart Tristan Callahan and Treyvon Evans and his dearest friend Alisha Callahan. Nieces and nephews, Alaysia McNair, Hayleigh Dunn, Araya Ward, Kahlil Thomas-Ward, MaKayla Knight, Andrew Dunn, Malia Thomas, Caden Johnson, D'Asia Thomas and Aniyah Watkins; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Berney enjoyed fishing, spending time with his two sons and spending time with his father.  He will be missed by all who knew him because of his pleasant personality and kindness to everyone he came into contact with.
