Mr. Arthur "Cool Breeze" James Miles, 93, of Gulfport, Mississippi departed this life, Monday October 14, 2019. Cool Breeze, as he was affectionately called by friends and family was a Mississippi Gulf Coast resident for many years. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church- Gulfport, Mississippi, in the Handsboro Community. Mr. Miles was a very active member of his church. There, he served faithfully in many of the church's ministries namely, the Marriage Ministry and the Brotherhood. In addition to his ministry involvement, Mr. Miles was also a Deacon and was a member of the Sunday School class.

Cool Breeze was a sharp dressed and was known by many within his community and throughout. He was a man who never met a stranger. He was a family man and loved his family unconditionally. Cool Breeze was a sports fanatic. Football, more specifically was his sport, with the Pittsburgh Steelers being his favorite team. When he wasn't singing, Mr. Miles enjoyed singing and listening to music. An ideal man who loved the Lord, took care of his family, and knew the importance of his community which he loved dearly. The life of Cool Breeze was one that brought joy and laughter to many and he will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by both parents, Mr. Percy Miles and Mrs. Florence Lee Miles, a brother, Willie; a sister, Rebecca, and a granddaughter, Colonel Inez Wright, Ph.D.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mrs. Catherine T. Gilleylen-Miles- Gulfport, Mississippi, a daughter, Arleen Redman- North Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, John Miles- Chicago, Illinois; one granddaughter, Iris Wright- Caddie, Texas, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
