Alice Flowers Jackson, 82, of Gulfport, MS passed away September 1, 2016. Ms. Jackson was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always made time to visit those who were sick, helping in any way that she could. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bessie Flowers; two grandchildren, Darnell Putman and Alana Ashley and one brother Tyree Carl Flowers.
Ms. Jackson's survivors include: six children, Gwendolyn (Furman) Kearney- Altidena, CA, Carol (Robert) Simmons- Ocean Springs, MS, Freddie (Tammy) Ashley, Jr.- Gulfport, MS, Bobby (Nelda) Ashley- Gulfport, MS, Alan Ashley- Gulfport, MS and Michael Ashley-Gulfport, MS; two step-children, Douglas Webster- Mc Comb, MS and Ben Evelny (Maurice) Collier- Tacoma, WA; four brothers, Joseph Flowers, Jr. – Lansing, MI, Earl Flowers- Seattle, WA, Stanley (Diane) Flowers- Greensburg, PA, Charles (Evie) Flowers-Bakersville, CA; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
